Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced

Machine Plant Fitter

to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of heavy machinery and plant equipment. This role requires hands-on mechanical expertise and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently to minimise downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on plant machinery and equipment. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults and carry out necessary repairs. Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability. Replace or fabricate machine parts as needed. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health and safety regulations. Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work. Assist in equipment installation and modifications. Provide technical support and guidance to operators and other staff. Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition.

Skills & Experience Required:

Proven experience as a

Machine Plant Fitter

or similar role. Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and instructions. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Good communication and teamwork skills. A valid driving license (if required for site visits).

Qualifications:

Experience in Plant Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Apprenticeship in mechanical fitting/plant maintenance (preferred). CSCS card or equivalent (desirable).

Working Conditions:

Workshop and on-site work as required. May involve working in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions. Some weekend or overtime work may be necessary.
