About the Role:
At DDL Group we are seeking a dedicated and reliable Plant fitter/ Mechanic to join our team who is honest and reliable, who can support and maintain our growing fleet of plant and equipment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Service, Maintain and repair a range of plant and equipment.
Undertake visits to our project sites as required to complete repairs and make deliveries.
Diagnose faults (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic).
Carry out preventative maintenance & emergency breakdown repairs.
Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
Planned maintenance schedules are followed and actioned effectively.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Assisting with Fleet repairs and maintenance, dropping vehicles off to local garages for MOT/Services.
Work both in our workshop (Kent) and on construction sites when required.
Skills/Experience
NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of plant machinery (construction background preferred).
Strong organisational and time management skills and great attention to details.
Welding/fabrication skills desirable.
Ability to work independently.
IT literate to keep accurate record of all maintenance.
Valid driver's license
Hold a valid CSCS card is a plus but not required.
