To successfully manage and deliver our projects we must successfully manage the logistics and control of all plant and equipment across our sites. As we continue to successfully win new business across our divisions, we now have a requirement for am additional Plant Hire Controller to join our established team.
Based at of our Head Office in Glasgow you will support and assist with the complete hire and logistics process including:
Liaising with site managers and project teams to understand plant and equipment requirements.
Sourcing equipment from internal stock or external suppliers.
Booking and scheduling deliveries and collections of plant and tools to and from construction sites.
Monitoring equipment usage to avoid unnecessary hire costs and ensure maximum utilisation.
Maintaining accurate records of plant movements, hire durations, and supplier performance.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and internal procedures.
Handling breakdowns, servicing, and repairs, either by coordinating with maintenance teams or external service providers.
Negotiating rates and terms with external plant hire companies when needed.
As Plant Hire Controller, you will be the key point of contact for customers/sites hiring our wide range of plant and equipment. You will manage enquiries, coordinate hires, and ensure our customers/sites receive excellent, efficient service.
As Plant Hire Controller you will be an excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships. You will have a proven track record in the construction industry and ideally have knowledge and/or experience of InspHire Management Systems.
