Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled, experienced Plant Engineer to join our team at a manufacturing facility near Dunbar in the Scottish Borders. The Plant Engineer will have experience in air-powered production lines, preferably in the beverage production industry, HACCP, Health and Safety, and will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant and equipment.

Duties:

- Designing, developing, and maintaining plant equipment and machinery

- Management of PLCs - experience essential.

- Conducting regular inspections to identify and resolve any issues or potential risks

- Overseeing the installation of new equipment and ensuring it meets standards

- Collaborating with other departments to improve plant efficiency and productivity

- Developing maintenance schedules and ensuring all equipment is properly serviced

- Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and implementing solutions promptly

- Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree or relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred but not essential if you have a high level of experience)

- Proven experience as a Plant Engineer or similar role within a manufacturing environment

- Strong knowledge of plant operations, maintenance, and safety regulations

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

- Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 35,000.00-40,000.00 per year
