Plant Manager - Lurgan

:

Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sheet Plant Manager to lead our Lurgan Sheet Plant operation. This is a key leadership role, responsible for the overall performance, growth, and day-to-day operation of the site. The Key responsibilities and criteria are:

Health & Safety

Lead by example in promoting a strong Health, Safety and Environmental culture.


Ensure the site operates within all statutory and Saica safety requirements.

Leading the Team

Provide clear leadership and development for all employees on site.


Motivate, coach, and support the team to deliver against performance targets and business goals.

Operations

Full accountability of the site's operation performance, ensuring targets are achieved across safety, quality, cost and customer service.


Oversee all day-to-day activities, coordinating production, logistics and admin functions.


Full ownership on P&L for site to drive profitability and sustainable growth.

Quality

Oversee quality, ensuring compliance with all standards and customer specifications

Continuous Improvement

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all production processes.


Implement and monitor KPIs to track progress and identify opportunities for improvement.

Customer Relationships & Commercial Growth

Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers.


Identify and secure new business opportunities, expanding the customer base and revenue streams.

Essential Criteria

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.


Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.


Proven ability to work on own initiative, with high self-motivation and accountability.


Experience leading teams or projects to successful outcomes.


Background in a production or customer-focused environment.


Demonstrated success in building and maintaining customer relationships.

Desirable Criteria

Experience in a corrugated manufacturing or similar industrial environment.


Exposure to commercial decision-making including pricing and margin management.


Proven plant or site management experience with end-to-end operational responsibility.


Experience in running or managing a small business.


Degree-level qualification in a business or technical discipline.
