Job Title: Native Plant Nursery Worker (Trees, Shrubs & Wetland Plants) at Celtic Wildflowers in Penllergare
We are seeking an experienced and organised individual to join our team at our
Native Wildflower Nursery
. This is a full-time, fixed-term role for
3 months (Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day)
, with the possibility of extension.
About the role:
You will be responsible for organising and caring for our collection of native trees and shrubs, as well as overseeing the recently established wetland plants. This role requires practical experience with tree care and handling, alongside a passion for native plants and conservation.
Key Responsibilities:
Organising, labelling, and maintaining native trees and shrubs within the nursery.
Monitoring and caring for wetland plants to ensure their successful growth.
Applying knowledge of tree handling, planting, and maintenance to support nursery operations.
Assisting with general plant care and nursery upkeep.
Supporting the nursery team with other duties as required.
About you:
Previous experience working with trees is highly desirable.
Knowledge of native species and biodiversity would be favoured.
Organised and attentive to detail.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks.
A very good work ethic is essential.
Contract details:
Full-time, Monday to Friday,
8 hours per day 12.21 per hour

Fixed-term: 3 months (with potential to extend).
Start date: As soon as possible.
Based at our native wildflower nursery -
Celtic Wildflowers
in Penllergare.
Interviews will take place during the week beginning 18th August.
