The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and driven Plant Operations Manager to lead our operations at ReFood's Doncaster site. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident leader who thrives in a fast-paced, process-driven environment and is passionate about operational excellence, sustainability, and team development.
As the Plant Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the site runs at maximum efficiency, safely and sustainably -- delivering quality outputs and continuous improvement across all areas of plant performance.
What You'll Do

Lead the day-to-day operations of the Doncaster site, ensuring production and efficiency targets are met.
Drive a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across all operations.
Establish and monitor KPIs to optimise processes and performance.
Work closely with engineering, transport, sales, and commercial teams to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
Ensure all plant maintenance schedules are developed and adhered to.
Engage, motivate, and develop your team through coaching and structured training.
Maintain strong working relationships with regulatory and compliance bodies (EA, APHA, PAS110).
Ensure full compliance with ISO9001, PAS110, and ADQP standards.
Champion best practice in health, safety, and environmental performance.
About You

You'll be a natural leader who can combine operational know-how with a proactive approach to people management and continuous improvement.
Essential skills and experience:
Proven experience in operations management -- ideally in an Anaerobic Digestion, process, or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of health, safety, and compliance legislation.
Good understanding of chemical and biological processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills -- confident at all levels.
Strong IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Analytical and results-driven mindset with a focus on quality and efficiency.
Flexible, adaptable, and willing to travel occasionally.
Desirable:
Experience managing within an AD or similar biological process environment.
