Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Plant Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of plant machinery and equipment, ensuring that production processes run smoothly and safely. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in all operations.

Duties



Operate and monitor plant machinery to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs or adjustments. Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate records of production activities, equipment performance, and maintenance tasks. Assist in loading and unloading materials as required, including operating commercial vehicles when necessary. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Experience



Operating all mobile plant, baling, weighbridges and shredding operations. Ensure materials are processed/loaded in a timely manner to achieve maximum throughput at all times. Ensure turnaround times are met regarding the tipping and loading of vehicles. Undertake the daily checks to the facility, to ensure it is safe and tidy to accept waste and site users Inspection of all input and output material and reporting of any non conforming loads, ensuring the quality meets with customers specification Operate 360 excavators safely and efficiently on various construction sites. Perform routine maintenance checks and ensure the equipment is in good working order. Follow health and safety protocols and best practices at all times. Collaborate with site supervisors and team members to complete tasks effectively. Understand and interpret site plans and specifications as required. Report any issues or concerns to site management prompt Proven experience as a 360 Excavator Operator. Valid CPCS or NPORS certification for 360 excavator operation. Strong safety awareness and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. A flexible attitude towards working hours and various site locations

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: 19.00-28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 57 per week
