Job Description

Join our Operations team as a Plant Technologist at our Haverhill manufacturing site to play a crucial role in ensuring that manufacturing targets are achieved in accordance with GMP requirements.

Your Responsibilities




You will:

Supervise manufacturing Support introduction of new products into the manufacturing facility Act as primary contact for operational technical support with the technologists on all shifts Identify changes required to operational procedures and practices to facilitate successful delivery of new product manufacturing campaigns Train operational staff in the requirements for the manufacture of new products and processes Working across 3spray drying assets varying in scale from small scale pre-clinical manufacture at ~100 gram scale to commercial scale manufacture in multiple tonnes per annum Act as primary point of escalation for technicians during manufacturing activities Continuously monitor, operate, and cover the production line activities to ensure that manufacturing targets are achieved in accordance with GMP requirements Acts as a key link between the production process, shift team, Shift Manager and technical teams by providing clear information about the process and plant status Have authority to stop the manufacturing process if it believed either safety or quality requirements have/will be compromised if manufacture continues Deliver of the training and development plan for the shift team Accountable for ensuring training records are completed on a daily basis. Perform processing activities Occasional cover of the Shift Manager role may be necessary

The EUROAPI Haverhill (UK) site has been established for forty years, located fifteen miles east of Cambridge and sixty miles north of London, within the golden triangle. It employs over 250 people and has built a strong reputation in Flow Chemistry, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Spray Drying and as a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO). Haverhill is proud to house the world's largest, continuous production, pharmaceutical spray dryer and performs secondary packaging and release activities for oncology and rare disease medicines supporting global markets. The site also offers a contract testing and release facility within its laboratories.

Our Requirements



Demonstrable competency to train others (e.g., recognised expertise in equipment use and processing activities, proprietary training for training others) is essential Technical/Process background is desirable Good general standard of education to GCSE level or equivalent is essential
