Due to a busy period of growth, we are looking for a Yard and Vehicle Person to join the team at Jones Bros in Denbigh.
This is a hands on and varied role supporting the day to day running of our busy Plant & Training Yard. You will be responsible for keeping the yard safe and tidy, assisting with the movement of vehicles and equipment, and helping the wider Plant & Fleet team keep things running smoothly.
The successful candidate will also provide relief cover as a Plant Operator during absences or busy periods, which may include occasional travel to other sites.
What you'll be doing:
Ensuring the Plant & Training Yard is kept clean, tidy, and safe at all times Cleaning and maintaining company vehicles, including vans and 4x4s Assisting with loading/unloading tools, plant, and materials Supporting with the movement of plant and vehicles within the yard or to/from workshop Receiving, checking, and storing plant items, tools, oils, lubricants, and materials safely and in line with COSHH requirements Conducting safety checks and reporting hazards Monitoring yard security, gates, and lighting and raising any issues promptly Supporting site teams and helping set up for training sessions Supporting the team as a relief Plant Operator during busy times
What you'll need:
A full UK driving licence A practical, proactive, and safety conscious approach Good communication and teamwork skills Willingness to work outdoors in all weathers Experience driving plant machinery (desirable, but not essential)
