Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a CNC Plasma cutter and various other fabrication and assembly equipment, ensuring the production process runs smoothly and efficiently. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a mechanical aptitude and experience in sheet metal work, welding, and grinding to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Operate CNC Plasma cutting machine and other fabrication machinery, including tools for grinding, welding, and assembly processes Set up and adjust equipment to meet production specifications Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to minimise downtime Handle sheet metal components with precision, ensuring quality standards are met Use hand tools and tooling to assemble parts accurately according to technical drawings Conduct basic measurements and calculations using mathematical skills to verify dimensions Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency Assist in quality checks throughout the production process to ensure compliance with specifications

Experience

Previous experience in fabrication, grinding, welding, or assembly is highly desirable Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment operation is advantageous Familiarity with sheet metal handling and the use of hand tools and tooling is preferred Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and quality control tasks Experience working with mechanical components and understanding technical drawings or schematics is beneficial
