Trainee Cnc Operator
Job Description
Ruby Granite Ltd is seeking a self-motivated individual with a keen eye for detail to join our growing team as a Trainee water jet and CNC operator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop their career in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
What You Will Learn:
CNC Machine Setup & Programming: Safe setup and programming of water jet and cnc machines to handle assigned tasks.
Material Handling: Loading raw materials into machines efficiently and safely.
Operating Procedures: Performing tasks in line with company operational standards.
Machine Maintenance: Regular inspection of machinery for mechanical and safety issues.
Workflow Management: Ensuring machines remain stocked and operational with minimal downtime.
Quality Control: Inspecting machine output to ensure it meets required specifications.
Ongoing Development: Staying up to date with machine capabilities and attending relevant training and safety courses.
Safety Awareness: Promoting a safe working environment and assisting others in adhering to safety protocols.
Teamwork & Flexibility: Working cooperatively with team members and adapting to production demands during busy periods.
Essential & Desirable Criteria:
Essential:
Excellent attention to detail
Flexible with working hours
IT literate
Strong numerical skills
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Safety-conscious with good situational awareness
Positive and collaborative attitude
Experience with CAD software
Desirable (not essential):
Previous experience on similar machinery e.g. plasma cutter, plotter cuter
Experience in the kitchen/worktop or stone fabrication industry
No previous CNC experience is required - full training will be provided.
