Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in plastering and a solid understanding of various construction techniques. This role involves working on a variety of projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards.

Duties

Apply plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces to create a smooth finish. Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, repairing, and ensuring they are free from dust and debris. Mix plaster ingredients according to specifications for optimal consistency and performance. Work collaboratively with other tradespeople on-site, including bricklayers and carpenters, to ensure project timelines are met. Perform repairs on existing plasterwork as needed, maintaining the aesthetic quality of the structure. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, reporting any issues promptly.

Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to plastering tasks. Experience in bricklaying and masonry techniques is advantageous. Basic carpentry skills to assist with related tasks on-site. Knowledge of roofing practices can be beneficial for specific projects. Familiarity with welding techniques may be required for certain applications within the role. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
