Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering and a variety of related skills. This role involves working on various construction projects, applying plaster to walls and ceilings, and ensuring a smooth finish. The successful applicant will be detail-oriented, able to work independently or as part of a team, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Duties

Apply plaster to interior and exterior walls and ceilings, ensuring an even and smooth finish. Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, repairing, and applying bonding agents as necessary. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to achieve desired results. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as bricklayers, carpenters, and roofers to ensure project completion. Perform masonry tasks as required, including the installation of bricks or blocks. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations. Assist in the training of apprentices or less experienced workers when necessary.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to plastering work. Knowledge of bricklaying, masonry techniques, carpentry skills, roofing practices, and welding is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with an ability to deliver high-quality finishes. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour tasks for extended periods. A valid driving licence may be required for travel between job sites.
