We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in applying plaster to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth and professional finish. This role requires proficiency with both hand tools and power tools, as well as a solid understanding of masonry and bricklaying techniques. The Plasterer will work on various projects, including residential and commercial properties, contributing to the overall quality and aesthetic of the finished work.
Duties
Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, repairing, and priming as necessary.
Mix plaster ingredients to achieve the desired consistency for application.
Apply plaster using appropriate techniques to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces.
Finish plastered surfaces to a high standard, ensuring smoothness and uniformity.
Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and bricklayers to ensure cohesive project execution.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working order; perform minor repairs as needed.
Follow safety protocols while working on-site to ensure a safe working environment.
Assist in the installation of related materials such as mouldings or decorative features when required.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools relevant to plastering tasks.
Knowledge of masonry techniques and bricklaying is advantageous.
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks for extended periods.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential.
