Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying plaster to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet project specifications. Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying necessary primers or bonding agents Mix plaster to the correct consistency using hand tools or power mixers Apply plaster smoothly and evenly to walls, ceilings, and other structures using trowels and hawks Ensure finishes meet specified standards for texture and appearance Repair damaged plasterwork or uneven surfaces as required Operate various tools including hand tools, power tools, and specialised masonry equipment safely and efficiently Collaborate with other trades such as bricklayers, roofers, and welders to complete projects on time Maintain a clean work environment by clearing debris and storing tools properly

Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools such as trowels, hawks, and floats Experience with bricklaying, masonry, or related construction trades is advantageous Knowledge of operating power tools safely and effectively Basic carpentry skills for preparing surfaces and framing if necessary Familiarity with roofing techniques can be beneficial Ability to operate welding equipment is a plus but not essential Strong attention to detail with an eye for quality finishes Good physical fitness to handle manual labour tasks over extended periods Excellent teamwork skills combined with the ability to work independently when required

Pay: 21.00-27.00 per hour
