Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying plaster and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring a smooth and even finish. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work with various tools and materials. The Plasterer will collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and bricklayers, to achieve high-quality results in construction and renovation projects.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, smoothing, and applying bonding agents as needed. Mix plaster and other materials according to specifications for optimal consistency. Apply plaster using hand tools and power tools to achieve a uniform finish on walls, ceilings, and other surfaces. Repair damaged plasterwork, including filling cracks and holes to restore surfaces. Work with masonry materials as required, including bricklaying tasks when necessary. Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople on-site to ensure seamless integration of plasterwork with other construction elements. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, performing basic repairs when necessary. Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment at all times.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in using both hand tools and power tools relevant to plastering work. Knowledge of masonry techniques, including bricklaying, is advantageous. Ability to weld is a plus but not essential for this role. Strong attention to detail with excellent finishing skills. Good physical stamina and the ability to work at heights or on roofs when required. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
