Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering and related trades, demonstrating proficiency in various techniques and the ability to work with different materials. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other tradespeople on-site.

Responsibilities

Apply plaster to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth and even finish. Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, repairing, and priming as necessary. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for mixing, applying, and finishing plaster. Collaborate with bricklayers and masons to ensure proper integration of plaster with other building materials. Assist in carpentry tasks as required, including framing for plasterboard installations. Conduct repairs on existing plasterwork, including patching and re-finishing damaged areas. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations. Participate in roofing projects when required, ensuring proper application of materials for durability. Utilise welding skills for any necessary metal framework or support structures related to plastering tasks.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools relevant to plastering and construction. Must have a drivers license, company van will be provided for work use only. Knowledge of bricklaying and masonry techniques is advantageous. Basic carpentry skills are desirable for effective collaboration with other trades. Familiarity with roofing processes will be beneficial for certain projects. Welding experience is a plus but not essential; willingness to learn is appreciated. Strong attention to detail and quality control in all aspects of work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
