We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying plaster to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. The position involves working on diverse projects, from residential buildings to commercial developments, contributing to the realisation of high-quality construction outcomes.
Responsibilities
Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying necessary primers before plastering.
Mixing plaster and other materials using hand tools or power tools to achieve the correct consistency.
Applying plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces with trowels, hawks, or spray equipment.
Ensuring smooth and even finishes by skillfully levelling and smoothing plastered surfaces.
Repairing cracks or damaged areas by removing old plaster and reapplying new layers.
Collaborating with bricklayers, masons, carpenters, and other tradespeople to ensure project specifications are met.
Operating various power tools safely and efficiently during the plastering process.
Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
Experience
Proven experience in plastering
Familiarity with hand tools, including trowels, hawks, and floats.
Experience using power tools relevant to plastering work.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team within a fast-paced construction environment.
