Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering and rendering, demonstrating proficiency in various techniques and materials. This role involves working on both residential and commercial projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards.

Duties

Apply plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces to create a smooth finish. Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, repairing, and applying bonding agents as necessary. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to mix, apply, and finish plaster. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as bricklayers and carpenters to ensure seamless integration of work. Perform masonry tasks as required, including the installation of brick or stone elements. Conduct repairs on existing plasterwork, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal. Follow health and safety regulations while working on-site to maintain a safe working environment. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to plastering and construction. Knowledge of masonry techniques is advantageous. Familiarity with carpentry practices will be considered a plus. Experience with roofing tasks is beneficial for certain projects. Basic welding skills may be advantageous for specific applications within the role. Strong attention to detail with an ability to produce high-quality work consistently. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
