Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying plaster to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet project specifications. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in masonry, carpentry, and related trades to contribute to diverse building projects. The ideal candidate will possess a good understanding of hand tools, power tools, and other relevant equipment, demonstrating attention to detail and a commitment to safety and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities



Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying necessary primers or bonding agents. Mix plaster and other materials according to project requirements. Apply plaster using hand tools such as trowels, hawks, and floats to achieve smooth finishes on walls, ceilings, and other structures. Utilise power tools for mixing, sanding, or surface preparation as needed. Collaborate with team members including bricklayers, masons, carpenters, and roofers to ensure seamless integration of work. Repair or patch existing plaster surfaces to restore structural integrity and aesthetic appeal. Follow safety protocols at all times, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout the project duration.

Experience



Proven experience in plastering or related trades such as masonry or carpentry. Familiarity with hand tools including trowels, floats, and chisels. Experience operating power tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of bricklaying, roofing, welding, and general masonry techniques is advantageous. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately. Previous experience working on both interior and exterior surfaces preferred. Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail and quality workmanship. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 21.00-27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38.50 per week
