We're expanding our Property Services team and are looking for
two skilled and reliable Multi-Skilled Plasterers
to join Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG).

About the Role
As a Multi-Skilled Plasterer, you'll deliver a high-quality, responsive repairs and maintenance service across WCHG homes and sites. While plastering will be your core trade, you'll also carry out a range of associated multi-skilled repairs to help keep our properties safe, well-maintained and fit for purpose.
You'll work independently and alongside other trades, engaging positively with tenants, completing work right first time, and ensuring homes are left clean, safe and tidy.
What You'll Be Doing
Carrying out all aspects of plastering, including boarding, skimming, rendering and damp-related works
Completing planned and reactive repairs in occupied homes and on construction sites
Undertaking associated multi-skilled tasks such as minor joinery, tiling, blockwork and making good
Using hand and powered tools, materials and equipment safely and effectively
Loading, transporting and disposing of materials and waste
Liaising directly with customers, explaining work clearly and providing a professional service
Completing all required job documentation accurately
Working to targets and agreed timescales
Following all health & safety procedures and safe systems of work
Participating in out-of-hours emergency cover when required
What We're Looking For
Essential:
NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Plastering
Experience working in a building or construction environment
Experience of housing maintenance and/or reactive repairs
Strong technical knowledge of plastering methods, materials and safety procedures
Ability to carry out multi-skilled maintenance tasks alongside core plastering work
Proven customer-focused approach
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Full UK driving licence
Willingness to work at height, in confined spaces and in varied conditions
Flexibility to participate in emergency/out-of-hours work
Desirable:
Experience working in social housing
Willingness to undertake enhanced DBS checks
Commitment to ongoing training and upskilling
