We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plasterer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying plaster to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet project specifications. Duties
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying necessary primers before plastering.
Mix plaster materials accurately according to manufacturer instructions.
Apply plaster using hand tools such as trowels, hawks, and floats to achieve smooth finishes on walls and ceilings.
Utilise power tools where appropriate for mixing or surface preparation.
Carry out bricklaying and masonry tasks as required for structural or decorative purposes.
Install lath or other backing materials prior to plaster application when necessary.
Perform carpentry tasks related to framing or support structures for plastering work.
Conduct roofing or welding tasks if required for specialised projects or repairs.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and project specifications.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including the safe handling of tools and materials.
Skills
Proficiency in using hand tools such as trowels, floats, and hawks for precise plaster application.
Experience with bricklaying and masonry techniques to support various construction tasks.
Knowledge of power tools used in plastering, mixing, or surface preparation processes.
Strong carpentry skills for framing or supporting structures related to plastering projects.
