Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in applying plaster to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth and even finish. The ability to render would be favoured also. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Plasterer will be responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing materials, and applying plaster in various settings, including residential and commercial properties.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, repairing, and ensuring they are suitable for application. Mix plaster materials according to specifications to achieve the desired consistency. Apply plaster using hand tools and power tools to achieve a smooth finish on walls and ceilings. Work with other tradespeople such as carpenters and bricklayers to ensure seamless integration of plasterwork with other construction elements. Perform repairs on existing plasterwork, including patching holes and cracks. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and provide updates on progress. Have own method of transportation, be willing to commute daily, locations will vary. Bring your own tools is required. Own van. Work on a self-employment basis.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to plastering tasks. Knowledge of masonry techniques is advantageous. Experience in bricklaying or roofing can be beneficial but is not essential. Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality finishes. Good physical stamina as the role involves standing for long periods and lifting materials when necessary. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
CIS Will be deducted from pay.
