Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying plaster to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth and even finish. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work with various materials and tools. The successful applicant will have experience in masonry and related trades, contributing to both residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning and smoothing walls and ceilings. Mix plaster to the correct consistency for application. Apply plaster using hand tools and power tools, ensuring an even coat. Repair any damaged plasterwork, including patching and re-surfacing as necessary. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as bricklayers, carpenters, and roofers to ensure project completion. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Inspect completed work for quality assurance before finalising projects.

Skills

Proficient in using hand tools such as trowels, floats, and scrapers. Experience in bricklaying and masonry techniques is highly desirable. Familiarity with power tools used in plastering and construction. Basic carpentry skills to assist in related tasks when required. Knowledge of roofing practices can be an advantage for certain projects. Welding skills are beneficial but not essential for this role. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
