Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering and related construction skills. This role involves working on various projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. The successful applicant will be responsible for applying plaster, rendering, and finishing surfaces in residential and commercial settings.

Duties

Apply plaster to walls and ceilings using hand tools and power tools to achieve a smooth finish. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, repairing, and applying bonding agents as necessary. Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, including bricklayers, carpenters, and roofers, to ensure project timelines are met. Perform masonry tasks as required, including the installation of bricks and blocks. Carry out basic welding tasks when necessary for structural support. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations. Assist in the selection of materials and tools needed for each job. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and provide updates on project progress.

Must be able to dot and dab.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to plastering and construction work. Knowledge of bricklaying, masonry techniques, carpentry skills, roofing practices, and basic welding is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality finishes. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical stamina and strength to handle manual labour tasks effectively. A valid driver's licence may be required for travel between job sites.
