Plastic Fabricator (Experienced)

We're looking for an experienced

Plastic Fabricator

to join our team at Marcol Plastics in Nailsea, Bristol. Established in 1990, we've built a strong reputation for producing high-quality bespoke and industrial plastic fabrications. Now part of a larger plastics-focused group, we're growing and taking on exciting new projects -- making this the perfect time to come onboard.

What You'll Do

Take ownership of fabrication projects from start to finish. Work with a variety of plastics using techniques such as cutting, welding, forming, bonding, and finishing. Carry out

plastic welding

including hot gas welding, extrusion welding, and hot plate/butt fusion welding. Prepare, assemble, and weld thermoplastics such as PVC, PP, PE, and acrylics. Read and work from technical drawings and specifications. Use fabrication machinery and hand tools safely and effectively. Support the workshop team and help mentor junior/trainee staff when needed. Uphold quality standards and ensure work is completed to customer specifications.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in

fabrication/welding

environment Experience working with plastics would be beneficial but not essential Good understanding of material preparation and welding techniques. Confidence in reading and interpreting engineering drawings. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Team player with good communication skills. Flexible and adaptable approach -- able to manage different types of work and deadlines.
