Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Setter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in plastic injection moulding in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Setter will be responsible for preparing and setting up machines and equipment for production processes, ensuring that all specifications are met for quality and efficiency.

NOTE: This is an engineering role, not a machine operator role. Experience is required for setting plastic injection moulding machines.

Key Responsibilities

Set up machines and processing equipment in accordance with production schedules and specifications. (This includes the installation of moulds into machines using SMED, configuring machine settings and ensuring correct operation throughout the production run). Ensure all working procedures are followed and that all documentation is completed as required. Optimization of processes running on shift (including achieving standard cycle times). Adjustment of machine settings to maintain product specification and quality standards. Analyse and implement process improvement solutions. Work closely with other team members, including operators, quality control personnel, Supervisors etc. (This also includes development teams for new materials, product, processes etc.) Adherence to all safety protocol such as procedures, PPE, manual handling etc. Ensure a clean work area and maintain the housekeeping standard Adherence to quality control procedures within the area. Qualifications / Skills

Analytical & diagnostic skills Troubleshooting and problem solving Able to work in teams Good communication skills Mechanical aptitude Able to work unsupervised Knowledge of the properties and processing of polymer materials Good mechanical and engineering knowledge Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems Health and Safety issues and Codes of practice relevant to the industry Good experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
