Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Injection mould Tool Maker to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing & maintaining precision tools and dies along with manufacturing new tooling.

The ideal applicant will possess experience in toolmaking and will be able to use machines such as milling machines, lathes, surface grinders & EDM spark eroders.

Duties

Manufacture tools through machining processes including milling, grinding, sparking, and other fabrication techniques. Maintain and repair existing tools to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Assist in the assembly of components using hand tools and specialised equipment. Conduct inspections of tools to verify accuracy and quality against technical drawings and specifications. Collaborate with engineering teams to modify or improve tooling designs for efficiency and durability.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Tool Maker or in a similar role within manufacturing or engineering environments. Skilled in machining processes including milling, grinding, and turning. Strong mechanical knowledge related to plastics injection moulding, tooling, and assembly processes. Familiarity with hand tools, measuring instruments, and safety procedures. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in mechanical engineering or toolmaking are preferred but not mandatory.
