Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plater to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in various welding techniques. This role involves working with sheet metal and fabricating components to meet precise specifications. The Plater will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and durability of our products through meticulous assembly and welding processes.

Working Hours for this position are Monday-Thursday 07:25 - 15:55 & Friday 07:30 - 13:30

Duties

Operate hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble metal components. Perform stick welding and other welding techniques to join metal parts securely. Fabricate metal structures according to engineering drawings and specifications. Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes. Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks.

Experience

Proven experience in a similar role or relevant mechanical background is preferred. Strong knowledge of sheet metal work and welding techniques is essential. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment is required. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. A proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork is highly valued.
