Plater/Welder

to join our Wakefield facility, supporting critical fabrication and refurbishment work in the power boiler and heavy engineering sectors.

About the Role

You'll interpret complex engineering drawings, mark out, cut, bend, and shape steel components, and assemble them to tight tolerances for pressure parts and structural fabrications. You'll work with a variety of materials and support final welding operations as part of an expert team.

What You'll Need

? NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Fabrication & Welding

? Time-served apprenticeship in fabrication, plate work, or mechanical engineering

? Proven experience in heavy fabrication work (preferably in the boiler or pressure vessel industry)

? High competence in marking out, cutting, and assembling fabricated components

? Ability to read and work from detailed engineering drawings

? Commitment to quality, accuracy, and safety

? CCNSG Safety Passport

? Experience working on-site in power stations or heavy industrial environments

? Familiarity with supporting coded welding operations
