We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Shift Supervisor to join our team and help lead day-to-day operations.
Role Summary:
As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the play centre and cafe during your shifts. From opening up in the morning to closing at the end of the day, you'll take charge of creating a fantastic customer experience, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and leading by example.
Key Responsibilities:
Opening and Closing:
Oversee the opening and closing of the play centre, ensuring all procedures are followed.
Barista and Cafe Duties:
Prepare and serve quality coffee, drinks, and food items in line with our menu standards.
Customer Service:
Welcome customers, answer queries, and ensure all visitors have a positive experience.
Hosting Parties:
Manage and deliver fun and engaging children's parties, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Cleanliness and Maintenance:
Maintain cleanliness across the play centre and cafe, ensuring all areas meet high standards of hygiene.
Play Centre Reset:
Prepare the play area for the next day, including tidying, organizing, and restocking supplies.
Team Support:
Supervise team members during shifts, providing support and direction when needed.
What We're Looking For:
Experience in a similar supervisory role, ideally in hospitality, retail, or a play centre environment.
Proven barista and cafe skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
A friendly, enthusiastic attitude and passion for working with families and children.
Ability to lead and motivate a team.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
Responsibilities
Supervise and manage staff during shifts, ensuring effective team management and collaboration.
Train, mentor, and support team members in their roles, fostering a culture of hospitality and excellence.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the establishment.
Assist in managing inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, striving to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
Monitor daily operations to ensure efficiency and quality of service, making adjustments as needed.
Collaborate with other management staff to develop strategies for improving service delivery and operational efficiency.
