We are seeking to appoint a Play worker for our busy out of school provision to start in September 2024
The role is up to 25 hours per week term time only, to work in our breakfast and after school provision sessions. The hours will be between Monday to Friday 7:00 am - 9:00 am and 15:00 pm - 18:00 pm
The main duties are to:
Assist with planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
Providing comprehensive care for the children including taking to and collecting from school and delivering them safely to parents or carers.
Setting up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment.
Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met.
Administering first aid when necessary.
Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities.
Helping with club administration, where necessary.
Encouraging parental involvement in the club.
Facilitating good communication with all members of the organisation, parents, and schools.
Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.
Keeping the work environment healthy, safe and secure.
Working within the framework of the club's policies and procedures.
Experience of working with children is preferred, however training can be provided to gain a suitable childcare qualification, therefore an apprentice will be considered.
Salary dependant on age and experience.
An enhanced DBS will be required for this position
