We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team, providing a safe and engaging environment for children to learn and play. The ideal candidate will have passion, enthusiasm and experience working with children. As a Play Worker, you will play a crucial role in fostering children's development through creative play and structured activities.
Responsibilities
Supervise and engage with children in various play activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Plan and implement age-appropriate games and activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development.
Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their participation and fostering a positive atmosphere.
Manage behaviour in a constructive manner, promoting respect and cooperation among children.
Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive environment that caters to the diverse needs of all children.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the play area, ensuring it is safe and welcoming for all users.
Build strong relationships with parents and guardians, providing updates on their children's progress and experiences.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a childcare setting is highly desirable.
Enhanced DBS check.
Training required in safeguarding, food hygiene and 1st aid- all will be paid for and provided.
A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications would be advantageous.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire children.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
A genuine passion for working with children and understanding their developmental needs.
Ability to drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences through play.
Capability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanour in a busy environment.
