Job Overview:



We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Playground Installer / Groundworker to join our growing team. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, being outdoors, and creating safe and engaging play spaces for children and communities. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction, landscaping, or playground installation, but we are also willing to train motivated individuals with a strong work ethic.

As a Playground Installer, you will be responsible for the installation of playground equipment, outdoor furniture, and safety surfacing. You will also assist with landscaping tasks such as site preparation, grading, and installing turf or mulch. This position requires physical labour, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team to complete projects on time and within safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:



Play Equipment Installation:



Assemble and install playground structures and outdoor equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and safety regulations.

Site Preparation & Landscaping:



Prepare installation sites by clearing the area digging and levelling the ground. Install turf, mulch, or a variety of other safety surfacing to create safe play areas.

Equipment & Tool Handling:



Operate hand tools, power tools, and light construction equipment safely and efficiently.

Team Collaboration:



Work closely with team members, project managers, and supervisors to complete installations efficiently.

Customer Interaction:



Occasionally communicate with teachers, site managers, or community representatives to answer questions about the installation process.

Site Maintenance:



Keep the site organised and safe by cleaning up debris and properly storing tools and materials. Loading and unloading the vans and various other manual tasks

Qualifications & Skills:



Experience in construction, landscaping, or playground installation (preferred but not required--training available for the right candidate). Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. Basic knowledge of tools and equipment, including drills, saws, and compactors. Valid driver's licence Digger and Dumper Licence - (Desirable but not essential) Ability to read and follow drawings and installation instructions. Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure safe and proper installations.

Working away is required for this role

Work may involve early mornings, occasional weekends, and overtime to meet project deadlines.

Salary dependent on experience and to be discussed at interview.

Pay: 12.21-16.00 per hour
