An exciting opportunity to join St Marys Playgroup as a Playgroup Manager

I am looking for a hands-on Playgroup Manager to lead and and manage current staff to run our vibrant, fun and stimulating setting. This roles is for someone who has a passion to be part of the setting and not a desk manager.

Purpose of Post:

1. To work under the direction of the owner.

2. To support the aims and objectives of the nursery and assist the owner in the organisation of a high quality establishment for children.

3. To provide high standards of childcare and education - to include the monitoring and review of provision, this includes providing a safe, caring environment to enable the emotional, social and educational development of children, through individual attention and group activities.

4. Assist in the leading and implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and any other legal/statutory frameworks.

5. A manager who leads by example and is willing to be part of the setting ratio.

6. Has SEND knowledge, experience and execution

7. To direct and support staff as agreed by the pre-school owner. You will lead and be responsible for:

Supporting and leading a small team

Managing and completing all relevant EYFS Paperwork

SEND specialist

Working closely with parents to deliver exceptional service and environment for our children

Overseeing the supervising of the playgroup in the absence of the owner

Leading and working alongside the owner with regards to all aspects of Safeguarding children

I require a minimum Level 3 EYFS qualification in Childcare and applicants must have previous experience of working with SEND children.

A minimum 3 - 5 years of manager experience within a Playgroup/Pre-School or Nursery.

Working hours would be between 08:30 - 15:30 Monday to Friday during term time. We need someone who is very flexible with working hours.

Lead and assist with set up and packing away daily

Work as part of a team is critical and someone who is engaging and supportive

Ensure that the pre-school is a safe environment for children, staff and others, equipment is safe, hygiene standards are high, and safety procedures implemented at all times.

Ensure records are correctly maintained and updated, e.g. daily attendance register, accident and incident book etc.

As a key worker ensure that an accurate and up-to-date record-keeping system is kept, e.g. children's records of progress and any behavioral and development reports, any safeguarding issues and health and safety issues.

Manage children directly with SEND and be responsible for allocated key children

Provide a high quality of education and learning and offer appropriate stimulation and support to children attending the setting.

Ensure that children's welfare and safety are promoted with the setting and that any child protection concerns are always appropriately acted upon immediately.

Work as a team to help implement any recommendations made following regulatory inspections.

Liaise closely with parents/carers, inform them about the pre-school and its curriculum, and exchange information about children's progress and encourage parents' involvement.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 13.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 22 per week
