We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Playworker to join our out of school club. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children. As a Playworker, you will facilitate play opportunities that promote learning and development while ensuring the well-being of all participants.
Duties
Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and enjoyment.
Plan and implement a variety of activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, and physical development.
Educate children on the importance of teamwork, respect, and social skills through structured play.
Maintain a clean and organised environment, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their children's experiences and progress.
Collaborate with other staff members to create an inclusive atmosphere that caters to the diverse needs of all children.
Attend training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge in child development.
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children and build rapport.
Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
A creative mindset with the ability to develop engaging activities tailored to various age groups.
Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in playwork.
Ability to work as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
A commitment to safeguarding children's welfare and promoting a positive play environment.
