Job Description

An energetic, fun, inspiring Playworker is required for the Mohair Centre Out of School Club (After School Club & Holiday Playscheme) to assist with day-to-day activities of the club. This will be predominantly working outside in our rich outdoor environment where the farm and forest school play an important role in our out of school provision.

Working in both After School Club & Holiday Playscheme with children 5-11 years. The job will involve working with children in their time- where play is key. We are a farm based Forest School therefore an enjoyment of being outdoors is important.

The After School Club (Term time 20 hours per week, Mon-Friday 2:30-6:30pm) involves collecting children from School and bringing them back to the Farm to enjoy child-centred play after their day at school. We offer tea and childcare until 6pm during Term time.

The Holiday Playscheme (School Holidays 40 hours per week, 4 days per week 8am-6pm but these hours can vary depending on circumstances. ) uses the Farm and Forest School, where children can make new friends, learn new crafts and have fun. 12- 13.50 p/h depending on experience / qualifications.

A Childcare/Playwork, Health & Social Care, TA, qualification is desirable but not essential. Valid UK Drivers licence and own transport essential. Strict safeguarding policies and procedures are in place, therefore his post will be subject to DBS check and reference requirements.
