Duties
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in various environments, including commercial premises and residential properties
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out plumbing tasks accurately and efficiently
Perform welding and mechanical work as required for pipe fitting and system repairs
Conduct basic measurements and calculations using mathematical skills to ensure precise installations
Assist with carpentry tasks related to plumbing projects, such as framing or support structures
Handle heavy lifting safely when manoeuvring pipes or equipment into position
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
Collaborate with team members to complete projects within specified timeframes
Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of tools, materials, or personnel when necessary
Experience
Proven experience in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance
Proficiency with welding techniques relevant to plumbing applications
Skilled in the use of hand tools such as wrenches, pipe cutters, and pliers
Familiarity with power tools used in plumbing tasks including drills and saws
Strong mechanical knowledge related to piping systems and fixtures
Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and layout planning
Experience with carpentry work related to plumbing projects is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during installation or repair tasks
Valid driving licence suitable for operating commercial vehicles is desirable
Prior experience with assembly work or working within a construction environment is beneficial
