Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in heating systems installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires proficiency in using various tools and equipment, as well as the ability to perform heavy lifting and work in diverse environments. The Heating Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that heating systems operate efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair heating systems in residential and commercial properties. Conduct routine inspections of heating equipment to identify issues and ensure optimal performance. Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete tasks effectively. Perform plumbing tasks related to heating systems as required. Assemble components of heating systems according to specifications. Carry out heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to ensure comprehensive service delivery. Adhere to health and safety regulations while working on-site.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Heating Engineer or similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot heating systems effectively. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to installations. Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily tasks. A valid commercial driving licence is advantageous for transportation of equipment and materials. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments.
