Join a Growing Team Focused on Craftsmanship & Quality
Beverley Leisure Homes is expanding, and we are looking for an experienced Lead Plumber to take ownership of all plumbing installation activities on our 5-bay production line.
Unlike the large-scale manufacturers, we work in a focused, high-quality environment where attention to detail, pride in workmanship, and consistency are essential. Every leisure home we build reflects our exceptional standards.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and motivated plumber who enjoys hands-on work, solving problems, guiding others, and contributing to continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
As our Lead Plumber, you will be the driving force behind the quality and efficiency of all plumbing work across our production line. Your responsibilities will include:
Technical Leadership & Installation
? Lead all plumbing installation activities across the 5-bay production line, ensuring every home meets our exacting quality standards.
? Carry out first fix, second fix, testing, commissioning, and snag resolution.
? Ensure full compliance with relevant industry regulations, internal quality processes, and safety policies.
Collaboration With Technical, Design & Production
? Work closely with the Technical Office and Design team to interpret drawings, resolve queries, and ensure accuracy in all plumbing specifications.
? Provide feedback to technical teams on improving design for manufacture, product specifications, and component selections.
Supplier & Materials Management
? Liaise with suppliers with the purchasing team to ensure plumbing materials and components arrive on time and meet required specifications.
? Assist in evaluating and recommending reliable supplier partners, with a focus on quality and long-term relationships.
? Work closely with Purchasing to highlight shortages, recurring issues, or opportunities for improvement.
Team Training, Mentoring & Development
? Train, mentor, and supervise members of the plumbing team, helping them build capability, confidence, and pride in their work.
? Support cross-training initiatives to develop multi-skilled production staff.
? Promote a positive working environment based on collaboration, consistent standards, and shared ownership of quality.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
? Champion a "right first time" culture where quality is non-negotiable.
? Inspect and sign off plumbing work at each stage of production.
? Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency, and consistency--while maintaining our handcrafted approach.
What We're Looking For
? Experienced plumber with proven installation expertise (ideally in leisure homes, modular buildings, or construction).
Level 2 NVQ City and Guilds Plumbing qualification (or time served plumber)
ACOPS or Gas Safe, with testing the vans and signing them off. (Gas Work)
? Any other quals in this area would just be a added bonus.
? Strong leadership abilities and prior experience mentoring or supervising others.
? Skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
? Excellent communicator, able to collaborate effectively with Technical, Design, Production, and Purchasing.
? Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
? A passion for quality craftsmanship--keen eye for detail and pride in delivering exceptional work.
? Committed to upholding health & safety and regulatory standards at all times.
? Flexibility to support business needs during peak periods.
