We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Newbuild Housing Plumber or plumber team - working foreman and plumbers mate or just 2 plumbers to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems across various construction and maintenance projects. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing systems, welding techniques, and mechanical knowledge to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all piping infrastructure. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for hands-on work and technical expertise in plumbing and pipefitting.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain piping systems in accordance with project specifications and schematics
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to guide installation and repairs
Perform MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques including welding to join pipes securely
Use hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and welding apparatus safely and effectively
Conduct routine maintenance on piping systems to prevent leaks or failures
Assemble pipework using mechanical knowledge and appropriate fastening methods
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
Troubleshoot issues within piping systems promptly to minimise downtime
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed for project records
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Plumber or Pipefitter with knowledge of construction environments
Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, soldering, and welding techniques
Strong understanding of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems and maintenance procedures
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely
Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during installation or repairs
Ability to interpret technical instructions accurately and work independently or as part of a team
Relevant certifications or qualifications in plumbing or welding are preferred but not essential
