Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heating systems, plumbing, and construction, with the ability to work effectively on various projects. This role requires hands-on experience and a solid understanding of mechanical systems, ensuring that heating installations and repairs are completed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair heating systems in residential and commercial buildings. Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure seamless project execution. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and installation procedures. Perform construction plumbing tasks related to heating systems, including pipe threading and assembly. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for installation and repair work. Conduct routine inspections of heating equipment to identify potential issues or necessary repairs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes during all work activities. Assist in remodeling projects that involve heating system upgrades or installations. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Skills

Proficient in construction techniques, including carpentry and heavy lifting. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC systems. Familiarity with welding processes as they relate to heating system installations. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations. Experience in commercial driving is a plus for transporting materials to job sites. Previous maintenance person experience is beneficial for troubleshooting various issues on-site. Knowledge of assembly techniques for various heating components.
