We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in a variety of settings, including commercial and residential properties. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Duties
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete installations and repairs.
Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance.
Assist with the assembly of plumbing components and systems as required.
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to ensure efficient workflow.
Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used for each project.
Skills
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry techniques.
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, including installation and repair procedures.
Mechanical knowledge related to system troubleshooting and maintenance.
Basic math skills for measuring, calculating pipe sizes, and other technical tasks.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
Experience with commercial driving is advantageous for transporting materials or equipment between sites.
Good organisational skills with the ability to read technical drawings accurately.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments under time constraints. All applicants must possess relevant qualifications or experience in plumbing or related trades.
