We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in a residential settings mainly for Insurance work. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The successful applicant will contribute to ensuring the safety, functionality, and efficiency of our clients' plumbing infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with specifications and safety standards
Conduct inspections to identify issues with plumbing systems and recommend appropriate solutions
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete tasks effectively
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required for installation and repairs
Read technical drawings and blueprints to determine the layout of plumbing systems
Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations
Assist in the assembly of plumbing components and related mechanical systems
Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times
Skills
Proficiency in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance techniques
Experience with welding and the use of hand tools and power tools
Strong mechanical knowledge relevant to plumbing systems
Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Knowledge of carpentry principles for fitting fixtures and structures
Experience with commercial driving is advantageous for transporting materials or equipment
Competence in assembly work related to plumbing components
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
