The Role



Here at Fortem Solutions we have an excellent permanent opportunity to join our Cambridge Housing Society contract as a Plumber Multi. The office is based in Histon so all interviews, training and meetings will be held there, but the work will be covering properties around the Cambridgeshire area so travel is essential. Core Hours are Monday-Friday 8.00am-4.30pm - Work Van, Fuel card, Power tools provided!

The Client



Our contract with Cambridge Housing Society is brand new and launching on April 1st. This will be a long term partnership with houses covering the whole of Cambridgeshire, from Wisbech down to Haverhill, although primarily situated in central Cambridge. There are nearly 3,000 properties, mostly houses and flats, and we will be looking after their Repairs, Voids, Cyclical Works and Planned workstreams.

Duties & Responsibilities



Completing Plumbing and basic carpentry repairs work for all social housing properties as per the specification, working in a timely and productive manner with specific turnaround deadlines as part of the repairs and maintenance team. Advising Supervisor in a timely manner when other trades are required Working in partnership with other operatives to complete projects. Recording and submitting accurate data using relevant business systems electronic devices Affording excellent customer service to client representatives and tenants Arranging purchase of materials required to deliver the works in a planned and efficient manner Comply with safeguarding policy and H&S standards at all times Operating within the company's occupational road risk policies and procedures Using a PDA smart phone to correspond daily with colleagues to update progress and completion information for your allocated work

What You Will Need



Essential criteria: NVQ/City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent in Plumbing OR Qualified by experience will be considered Ability to perform other Trade tasks without any supervision (i.e. basic Carpentry, Painting & Decorating, Tiling, Plastering or Roofing) Full UK driving license - No driving bans in the past 5 years Must be able to successfully pass basic DBS check Desirable Social Housing experience
