Join our skilled Technical Services team at Lochalsh & Skye Housing Association and help us deliver high-quality, reliable repairs and maintenance services to our tenants and communities.

We're looking for an experienced and motivated

Plumber/Heating Engineer

to support the effective delivery of our Asset Management and Maintenance programmes. Working under the direction of the Technical Officer, you'll play an important role in ensuring our homes, heating systems, and associated installations are safe, efficient and well maintained.

In this varied and rewarding role, you'll be responsible for:

Carrying out a full range of plumbing and heating repairs, replacements and improvements. Responding to reactive repairs across sanitary systems, heating systems, drainage and guttering. Inspecting and maintaining solar panels, oil boilers, ground/air source heat pumps, and pressurised cylinders. Undertaking bathroom installations, kitchen re-plumbing and legionella inspections. Conducting cyclical servicing of heating systems and renewable technologies. Ensuring accurate record-keeping to support monitoring and reporting requirements. Communicating professionally and courteously with tenants and colleagues. Supporting apprentices and/or other operatives when required. Working in line with all relevant health and safety, statutory and Association policies.
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

Proven experience as a plumber or heating engineer, ideally in domestic or social housing settings. A strong understanding of heating systems, renewables, plumbing installation and repairs. A commitment to high standards of workmanship, safety and customer service. The ability to work independently, manage your workload, and maintain accurate records. A full driving licence.
