Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial sites. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with a variety of tools and materials. The ideal applicant will demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, physical endurance for heavy lifting, and a commitment to safety standards.

Duties

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with specifications and safety regulations. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete tasks efficiently and accurately. Conduct inspections to identify issues within plumbing systems and determine appropriate solutions. Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent future problems and ensure optimal system performance. Assist with the assembly of plumbing components and related mechanical systems. Carry out heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to health and safety guidelines. Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of tools or materials when required. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters or electricians on complex projects. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Skills

Proficiency in plumbing techniques along with experience in welding and using various hand tools. Knowledge of mechanical systems relevant to plumbing installations and repairs. Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively. Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and reading technical drawings. Experience with carpentry work related to plumbing installations or modifications. Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks and working in confined or awkward spaces. Valid commercial driving licence preferred for transporting equipment or materials between sites. Assembly skills for fitting components together accurately. Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety protocols at all times.
