Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled plumber/Gas Engineer to join our team, responsible for the installation of a Kitchen and bathroom refurbishment project for Birmingham City Council. The ideal candidate will possess a strong Plumbing knowledge and be able to self-time mange to a programme of works. This role requires a commitment to safety and compliance with industry regulations while delivering high-quality service to our clients.

2 properties are opening daily to which you will be assined to x1 and will be required to complete those works with in that day to ensure the programme statys on time

Duties

Install new layouts to kitchen and run new hot and cold, and gas pipework. Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations to ensure compliance with safety standards. Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively to perform tasks. Engage in heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Collaborate with team members to ensure the timely completion of projects while maintaining high standards of quality.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or in a similar role within the construction or engineering sector. Strong Plumbing knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems effectively. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is essential. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during installations. Familiarity with plumbing practices related to gas systems is advantageous. Carpentry skills are a plus for any additional modifications required on-site. A valid commercial driving licence is preferred for transportation of equipment between sites. Ability to perform heavy lifting as necessary for the role.
