Overview

We are seeking a skilled Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating systems and plumbing work for new housebuilding sites.

Must be GASSAFE and fully experienced / qualified.

Must have own tools and van for work.

This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and as part of a team, ensuring that all heating systems are functioning efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair various heating systems including boilers, radiators, and underfloor heating. Assemble components and systems using hand tools and power tools. Perform welding tasks as required for system installations or repairs. Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Troubleshoot heating system issues and implement effective solutions. Plumb heating systems according to specifications and industry standards. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to ensure seamless project completion. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing heavy lifting and other physical tasks.

Experience

Proven experience as a Heating Engineer or in a similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various hand tools and power tools effectively. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is advantageous for transporting equipment to job sites. Basic maths skills for measuring, calculating materials needed, and ensuring precise installations are essential. Previous experience in plumbing or related fields will be considered a plus.
